CPS Proceeds of Crime is delighted to advertise the role of Civil Caseworker.
The Crown Prosecution Service is based in England and Wales. Please note that applicants must be aged 18 before starting in the role, start dates would be expected to be 8-12 weeks after the closing date of this advert.

You will be expected to deal effectively and timeously with all case preparation, case progression and administrative tasks throughout the life cycle of a civil case, working both independently and in partnership with Prosecutors to produce optimum outputs.
You will also provide casework and performance support and administrative assistance to prosecutors and managers, acting on their instructions and under their supervisions, and help to contribute towards the achievement of the Unit’s targets and objectives.
You will ensure that the relevant CPS Area has recalled and preserved all paper and electronic files and prepared a background note dealing with the issues particularised in the claim.
You will deal with correspondence and complex casework enquiries throughout the lifecycle of the case.
You will maintain regular contact with CPS area, GLD staff and any other interested parties such as the police, counsel, judiciary, claimant’s solicitors/claimants & defendant’s solicitors/defendants and other Criminal Justice Agencies as necessary.
You will plan and execute case management including working closely with the County or High Court on listings, with the GLD and counsel on the case itself, and with claimant/defendant’s solicitors and the legal teams of interested parties to ensure that all necessary material has been served.
You will have oversight of GLD and/or counsel’s professional fees.
You will ensure that all fees are processed within the prescribed timescales.
