Job Title: Material Handler

Job Summary:

We are seeking an Inventory/Material Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in handling large inventory items. This role is responsible for managing, tracking, and distributing materials, including long-length items, in a structured and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, verify, unload, and put away incoming inventory items (most items come in bundles that are 20’-0”+ in length).
• Identify and stage materials from existing inventory in the yard for our Anchor Bolt Shop using “Pick Lists” provided by the Purchasing Department.
• Move inventory items from the laydown yard to our Bolt Shop facility via forklift.
• Count, sort, identify, and store remnants from the Bolt Shop back into inventory.
• Transfer information in writing between the Bolt Shop and Purchasing Department.
• Maintain a tidy and organized inventory yard where all materials are clearly identified and counted.
• Conduct monthly cycle counts on current inventory items and report findings to the Purchasing Department.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Forklift experience Required
• Strong numerical and counting skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively
• Prior experience in inventory management is a huge plus
• Experience handling materials 20’-0”+ in length is a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience using inventory management software
• Previous warehouse or yard experience
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move materials as needed
• Comfortable working in an outdoor yard environment
