The PA State Police are searching for a Clerical Assistant 2 who will play a key role in supporting the Municipal Police Officers’ Education and Training Commission by delivering reliable clerical assistance that helps keep operations running smoothly and efficiently.

This position is responsible for organizing, maintaining, and digitizing records within the Training and Certification System (TACS), ensuring that all files are complete, properly scanned, and accurately stored. These records include sensitive information related to municipal police officers, Act 235 agents, academy instructors, and police department compliance, such as employment histories, certifications, denials, revocations, and hearing documentation. The role also supports the integrity and accessibility of critical data for the Office.
In addition to records management, the position provides comprehensive clerical support across all Units, including typing, editing, proofreading, and formatting documents in accordance with PSP standards. Responsibilities include scanning and uploading materials to TACS, mailing Act 120 and Act 235 denial and revocation letters and tracking their distribution, and assisting visitors and callers in the receptionist’s absence by offering guidance on procedures and document submission requirements.
