A newly funded R01 grant requires a role that can provide clinical research coordination support and act as a clinical interventionist for psychosocial support of patients and families including running a family support group, conducting study visits, and collecting and entering data related to study visits.

Job Summary

Prepares grant applications, manuscripts, Institutional Review Board (IRB) applications, research papers, and assists with complex research papers. Audits research studies, monitors study budgets, resolves complex data collection issues, and implements protocol-specific study recruitment plans. Trains staff and oversees student workers; leads team meetings. Monitors study budgets and orders supplies.

Essential Functions • Conducts functional and psychosocial assessments of patients and their families. 

• Fills out standardized assessment forms for use in clinical research analyses
• Conducts in-person study visits in the hospital and phone- or video-conference based study visits after discharge.
• Conducts family support groups.
• Presents assessment findings in relevant meetings and conferences.
• Develops necessary materials for research projects.
• Serves as a resource for other study team members and research subjects.
• Provides referrals as requested.
• Aids in obtaining grants and funding for research.

Work Schedule Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (some flexibility)

Work Arrangement Hybrid: Combination of On-Campus and Remote work as determined by the department.
