CLINICAL RESEARCH COORDINATOR I – (T223958)

Description

The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), Nursing Family, Comm & Health Systems, is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator I.

General Responsibilities

  • To serve as coordinator for studies and provide support to other team members within the confines of the protocol as directed.
  • To support screening and participant eligibility determination, working with more senior team members to ensure compliance.
  • To conduct activities in accordance with the protocol, regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
  • To assist with the study life cycle from start-up to closure, i.e., collecting and recording data, recruiting and performing follow-up with participants, scheduling visits and assisting in coordination of lab and fieldwork.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Works directly with cancer survivors aged 18 years and older.
  2. Screens, consents, and schedules visits for participants.
  3. Conducts physical assessments per study protocol.
  4. Collects information and enters data into the established data system.
  5. Helps maintain quality records and tracks study progress.
  6. Attendance is required to regularly scheduled meetings at UAB, and team meetings.
  7. Set up the operation and maintenance of research equipment.
  8. Instructs participants on the use and safety of gaming systems.
  9. Performs other duties as assigned.

Annual Salary Range: $43,890 – $71,320

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.

Preferences

  • A degree in a science field, patient experience, or customer service is preferred. 
  • Great attention to detail and organizational skills are preferred.
