As part of the IST Operations Team, you will be crucial in managing and securing cloud services that form the backbone of the Parliamentary Service’s technical infrastructure. This role is vital to ensuring the stability and security of Microsoft cloud platforms, especially as we undertake the migration of our enterprise content management systems (ECMS) to M365 and AvePoint.

As our Cloud Engineer – Information Management, you’ll take the lead on working with our IT partner to support our Teams Telephony environment. You’ll also be onboard to set up the systems as we migrate from Skype. You have a great team to work with as we automate the setup, manage devices and provide an awesome service to Parliament that you can be proud of.
Key responsibilities include:
- Migration Support: Lead the migration of ECMS to M365, managing rules and configurations across the platform.
- Information Lifecycle Management: Oversee classification, tagging, and access control to ensure the secure handling of information across SharePoint Libraries and Teams.
- Cloud Infrastructure Design: Design, configure, monitor, and maintain Azure, M365, Azure AD, and SharePoint cloud services.
- Identity and Directory Services: Manage and secure identity systems and directory services, integrating both on-premises and in Azure.
- Automation & Optimization: Spearhead automation initiatives, improving cloud infrastructure for optimal performance and security.
- Business Continuity & Security: Ensure adherence to business continuity, disaster recovery, and security protocols.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Information Management Teams to improve platform functionality and maintain secure information management practices.
- Reporting & Documentation: Develop reports, dashboards, and documentation to track and communicate platform performance.
- Vendor Relationships: Manage relationships with vendors, including Microsoft, overseeing product updates and roadmaps.

We are looking for a candidate who is both technically adept and a collaborative team player. The ideal person will have:
- Expertise in Microsoft Cloud Platforms (Azure, MS365) and relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, ITIL).
- At least 3 years of experience supporting cloud infrastructure and Microsoft technologies.
- Knowledge of Information Lifecycle Management, including tagging, classification, and access control within SharePoint and Teams.
- Experience with ECMS Migration to M365 and AvePoint.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, able to engage with Information Management Teams and key stakeholders across the business.
- A curious and collaborative mindset, with a desire to grow your skills within M365 and Azure as part of our evolving cloud capability.
- The ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, tackle complex technical challenges, and meet business needs.

Please note: This is a full-time permanent position. The salary range is $111,343 – $122,931 per annum, depending on experience.
