ResponsibilitiesFocusing on the Express Route and Global backbone Networks, and working closely with partner teams in Azure Networking, you’ll be a critical part designing and developing automation and large-scale services that drive our network to autonomy. This will include owning components from design through to deployment and operations. When issues arise, you troubleshoot live site issues to discover and drive solutions with minimal or no disruption to customers. You perform testing and validation of network devices, and demonstrate some knowledge of data. You know what data is needed and how to find new or missing data. You provide instructions to the data center on how to repair and maintain physical network hardware, and take notes during incidents.In addition, you participate in postmortem and root-cause analysis processes to continuously improve network reliability. You support innovation and cost management by developing new ideas for systems and tools that meet customer and/or business needs. You proactively share information across disciplines within your feature team in a timely manner with an appropriate level of detail that is tailored to your audience.You provide feedback and some mentorship to other engineers, while also proactively seeking mentorship and feedback from others.
