Job Title: CNC Machinist

Job Description

Set up and operate CNC machines, including mills, lathes, or routers, to produce precision parts. Perform basic programming and editing of G & M code at the machine. Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions. Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of machines. Inspect finished parts using measuring tools, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges, to ensure quality standards. Troubleshoot minor issues with machines or programs and escalate as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards. Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of G & M code programming.
  • Familiarity with operating multiple CNC machines.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a team-oriented environment.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • experience with CAD/CAM software.
  • Knowledge of different materials (e.g., aluminum, steel, plastics).
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment.

Work Environment

This is a temperature-controlled, clean workspace. The facility is organized into sections to better suit the work being done. For example, all machines are held in the same area and all welding takes place in its own area. Large bay doors are kept open when the weather is nice, but otherwise, this is a temperature-controlled environment and well-kept facility.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Concord, North Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 – $30.00/hr.
