CNC Operator (Weekend Shift)

Work schedule is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (12 hours each day) with a $5/hour shift premium.

Primary Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate automatic and CNC lathes, mills, or centerless grinder.
• Change tooling as needed.
• Operate 1 or 2 machines by self or 3 or more with assistance of another operator or automation.
• Help solve machining problems related to your machine.
• Inspect parts per print specifications.
• Help train and assist new operators.
• Able to read and change CNC programs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required. Related work experience preferred.
• Read blueprints, understand basic math (including fractions and decimals), some knowledge of CNC programming and controls, remember, observe and problem solving.
• Per 8 hr. shift (stand 6 hrs., walk 2 hrs.), occasionally (bend, squat, balance, push/pull), occasionally (reach above shoulder level, kneel). Frequent lifting and carrying (frequently from 0 to 24 lbs., occasionally from 25 to 50 lbs.). Must be able to hear, see, distinguish colors, do simple and firm grasping with both hands. Must be able to work in a moderately noisy environment that includes exposure to heat, dust, solvents, and oil. Must be able to safely work in areas of lift truck traffic.
