CNC Vertical Mill Machinist Responsibilities:
– Serve as a resource for Youth Apprentices, Operators and Machinists at all levels.
– Determine the most efficient and proper method to machine part to print
– Read and determine how to machine parts from complex difficulty blueprints
– Program complex level parts
– Problem solve how to machine different parts
– Follow 6S procedures, ISO/quality procedures and safety protocols
Requirements for CNC Vertical Mill Machinist:
– High School Graduate or Equivalent
– At least 5 years of machining experience in a job shop environment
– 4+ years of CNC machining experience (VTL, lathe, mill, boring bar)
– Fluent in M & G code
– Proficient in blueprint reading
– Able to work with extremely tight tolerances
– Strong problem solving, prioritization and communication skills
– Self-sufficient
