CO-OP Student

The Human Resilience Technology Group develops, adapts, and deploys advanced technologies to address the most significant challenges in disaster relief, global development, and community resilience. We extend rapidly evolving technical capabilities – such as remote sensing and signal processing techniques, robotics, data science, software tools, and systems analysis – to under-served mission needs across the domestic and international landscape. Recent program efforts have included:

• Integrating advanced remote sensing and situational awareness technologies in large-scale disaster relief and recovery needs

• Applying novel analytical methods – including artificial intelligence and machine learning – to longstanding humanitarian challenges, especially in sparse and challenging data environments

• Creating software decision support and data visualization platforms for critical decision-making

Selected candidate will be subject to a pre-employment background investigation and must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level DoD security clearance.
