Job Description:
Cold Food Production Station Attendant prepares food in accordance with airline requirements and with applicable federal, state, and corporate standards, guidelines, and regulations.
Essential Functions:
Food Production- executes food preparation according to policy, procedure, and specifications.

  • Ensure compliance with airline specifications and/or Flying Food Group recipes accurately and provide correct proportions. Requires comprehension and organization to follow direct orders and recipes and correctly prepare dishes to various airline standards.
  • Use all kitchen equipment properly and safely.
  • Perform all related duties as directed by management.

Food Safety and Quality- perform food preparation in adherence to all related regulations. 

  • Ensure compliance with airline specifications, personal hygiene, and food handling procedures.
  • Assists with maintaining workstation and overall cleanliness with emphasis on food safety including sanitizing work surfaces between different meals.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA food safety, HACCP requirements, sanitation and General Manufacturing practices.
  • Follow proper food rotation procedures (FIFO) to ensure quality and reduce waste.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures, including safe temperatures at which ingredients must be kept and food must be prepared to avoid foodborne illness.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, collaborating on complex dishes. Maintain calm demeanor to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Ensure safety awareness and safe operating practices. Report safety hazards and accidents to management immediately.
  • Assist with ensuring all products are properly stored and labeled in compliance with food safety regulations and for inventory purposes.

Skills and Qualifications- strongly prefer one year of food prep and/or cooking experience. This role requires good communication and comprehension skills and the ability to speak, read and write in the English language. 

  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to handle tools, such as knife techniques for chopping, slicing, cutting, and dicing.
  • Ability to stand in one place for hours at a time, handle the cold, and work shifts.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Ability to work high volume production environment; the flexibility to work the scheduled shifts
  • Working knowledge of HACCP, USDA, and FDA compliance is strongly preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employe is regularly required to communicated verbally and nonverbally. This role frequently is required to stand and traverse for long periods, engage in manual dexterity to move objects including reaching overhead and operating equipment. This role will lift/carry/transport some heavy materials with or without assistance. 
position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. The facility operates 365 days. Must be willing to work any shift, days off as assigned by unit leadership.
