Learning areas:
- Assist in managing social media account (WeChat, Weibo) on a regular basis
- Assist in producing and editing infographic and multimedia products for communication purposes
- Assist in setting up and recording (virtual and video) interviews/speeches, podcasts whenever necessary
- Capture photos and videos of meetings and activities hosted or co-hosted by the ILO and its partners
- Draft and translate news, scripts, brochures etc. for communication purposes in English and Chinese
- Categorize digital materials and upload to ILO’s digital inventory
- Conduct daily scan of major news on new development and policy announcement in labour and social policy area, select news of sufficient value, and distribute them to concerned colleagues on a regular basis
- Support ILO activities and campaigns in China
- Any other assignments required to support communication in the country, such as events set-up, media requests follow-up, etc…
- Facilitate the organization of academic events, such as poster making and logistics etc.
- Gather and process information on the labour markets, and conduct desktop research and literature reviews, as required
- Provide basic data collection, clearance, and analysis using software such as EXCEL, SPSS, Stata, and Generative AI etc.
Required profile:
Education
- The candidate must be enrolled in the second or final year of a graduate degree programme, or in a higher degree programme, in communications, journalism, social sciences, law, economics, marketing and/or a related field.

Languages:
- Excellent command of English and Chinese, particularly good written skills
