The Public Sector Advisory team serves clients and offers office locations nationwide. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely, however working in the office is an option as well.
What you will do:
Client Engagement and Relationship Management:
- Support client needs by understanding and addressing their compensation consulting challenges.
- Act as a key contact for select client relationships, working under the guidance of senior leaders to align project teams with client needs and contribute to ensuring client satisfaction.
- Assist in managing portions of master service agreements and act as a liaison for specific project-based client interactions.
Project Management:
- Lead smaller projects or significant portions of larger projects, overseeing work plan execution and ensuring quality of deliverables.
- Provide periodic status reports to internal teams and clients, assist in managing project budgets, and support the development of deliverables for client review.
- Facilitate day-to-day client communications and coordination, ensuring smooth execution of consulting engagements.
Compensation and Classification Consulting:
- Collaborate with clients to help develop compensation philosophies and strategies, contributing to the quality assurance process and supporting senior leaders in the presentation of results.
- Participate in delivering compensation and classification project services, including job evaluation, FLSA assessment, job description development, market pricing, pay equity reviews, and related reporting.
- Support clients in the adoption and implementation of compensation project outcomes, under the supervision of more senior team members.
Client Project Execution:
- Contribute to various client-focused deliverables, such as pay policy development, benefits reviews, market analysis, and reporting, aligning efforts with the client’s strategic goals and organizational needs.
- Perform analysis related to job evaluations, career ladder development, and market pricing, with a focus on maintaining accuracy and meeting client expectations.
Practice Development:
- Assist in the development and refinement of standard tools, templates, and technologies to improve project efficiency and quality.
- Support growth initiatives by collaborating with senior consultants in business development, proposals, and expanding service offerings.
Team Leadership and Mentorship:
- Supervise junior staff on projects, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Contribute to the recruitment and development of team members, helping to foster a positive and collaborative working environment.
- Participate in practice-wide learning initiatives and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in compensation consulting.
- Professional Development and Industry Engagement:
- Attend relevant training seminars, networking events, and professional development activities to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
- Uphold high professional standards and maintain strict client confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in public administration, human resources management, business administration, economics, finance, political sciences, or related field.
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), Certified Compensation Analyst (CCA), or related designation preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in consulting, data analytics, compensation and benefits, total rewards management, human resources, or related field.
- Ability to travel, as needed, to meet with clients and to attend evening meetings. Travel may be 15 to 40% annually.
- Ability to work independently by taking the initiative on tasks to keep projects moving forward; Ability to work as a team to provide support to others; Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to perform intermediate excel functions, such as pivot tables, xlookup, date functions, conditional formatting, formulas, charts/graphs, and regression analysis.
- Demonstrated compensation expertise in multiple topic areas – job matching and market pricing, job evaluation or architecture, pay structures and pay policies, as well as compensation laws and regulations
- Written and oral communication skills required. Will be responsible for report writing and delivering presentations, as well as large meeting facilitation.
