The primary function of this position is to support all aspects of the Wealth Management Compliance Program to ensure adherence with all regulations and guidelines in accordance with federal and state banking laws. This position performs various testing and monitoring processes in the Wealth Division using industry standards and regulatory guidance to ensure Wealth and the Bank’s compliance efforts are maintained. Support the Wealth Compliance team, the Division, and business units, by assisting in various related projects to help further develop business unit compliance. Assists in the development and implementation of new procedures within Wealth Management to ensure the most current methodologies and system enhancements are being utilized and implemented for these functions.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Regularly perform compliance risk monitoring and testing in accordance with risk matrix, procedure, and regulation.
- Conduct trend analysis on testing and monitoring results. Recommends potential further action based upon trend analysis conducted.
- Support and coordinate the Division and Bank’s efforts to comply with federal and state banking laws and regulations as they relate to fiduciary and investment activities.
- Support the facilitation of examinations from state and federal regulatory examiners and Internal Auditors, including advanced preparation and coordination of all information between various Bank and CTWM, and examiners or auditors.
- Assist in the development, deployment, and updating of Compliance procedures
REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree and 1-3 years of equivalent work experience, or 5+ years of equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
- Experience with fiduciary, investments, and retirement regulations (e.g., Reg 9, ERISA.).
- Able to work independently, and in a team, to plan and accomplish a project or elements of a project, identify responsibilities, tasks, deadlines, and purpose their timely completion.
- Record of creative problem-solving, with excellent written and oral communication skills, and the creation of strong and trusted cross-functional relationships.
Skills/Knowledge
- Must have strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and people skills, and able to form relationships while also getting results.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with deadlines.
- Familiarity with the FDIC Trust Examination Manual is a plus.
- Strong Excel skills
