Salary Range: $60,000.00 To $64,000.00 Annually

Emerald is seeking a detail-oriented Conference & Partnership Specialist to join the MJBiz team, dual reporting to the Conference Programmer and Partnership Specialist. This role focuses on supporting the development and execution of conference content and programming as well as profitable partnerships with associations, industry insiders, events, publishers, and other trade organizations. You will play a key role in executing deliverables for 200+ partners and speakers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collect and manage speaker information, contracts, bios, and photos for marketing materials.
  • Create and maintain a comprehensive speaker database for each event, including contact details, AV and housing requirements, and special requests.
  • Facilitate speaker travel arrangements, including air travel and hotel accommodations.
  • Ensure conference websites are consistently updated with accurate speaker and session information, including bios, headshots, and company details.
  • Collaborate with conference management to proofread and verify conference materials and assets.
  • Assist in the creation, distribution, and analysis of speaker evaluations.
  • Manage the call for presentations process, supporting potential speakers and liaising with the education partner for submission review and session selection.
  • Conduct research to identify growth opportunities in competitive programming, partnership alignment, industry trends, and market changes.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to support promotional efforts, including asset management and agreement execution across various channels.
  • Work closely with the partnership team to finalize and document partnership barter agreements.
  • Regularly collect and analyze partnership data to assess performance against barter revenue goals.
  • Support the preparation of pre- and post-event reports for internal teams and marketing leadership.
  • Maintain effective communication with partners to ensure timely asset delivery and adherence to deliverables.
  • Foster strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including Attendee and Sales Marketing, Operations, and Sales.
  • Assist with updates across multiple platforms, including Session Board, Monday.com, Gleanin, Grip mobile app, and the conference website.
  • Provide on-site assistance during events, shows, and activations as needed.
  • Help monitor budget expenses and maintain receipts for accurate monthly financial reporting.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-2 years of experience in marketing, conference management, business development or a related field.
  • Experience across various marketing channels, including email, digital, telemarketing, direct mail, and partnership marketing.
  • Knowledge of cannabis and or B2B events industry a plus
  • Strong project management, writing, and communication skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative thinker with a solutions-oriented approach.
  • Eye for digital design, with the ability to organize visuals effectively for websites.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel for maintaining and presenting information.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools and analytics platforms (e.g., Session Board, Grip, Monday.com, HubSpot, A2Z, Adobe Creative Suite, CMS platforms like WordPress) is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel 2-3 times per year within the U.S.
  • No degree required.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Target Compensation: $60,000-64,000

Please note that this range reflects a reasonable estimate of the target compensation for this position. This range may ultimately vary based on a candidate’s qualifications and may be higher where required by applicable law.
