Construction Intern – P&E Team

This 10-week construction intern position will support the Plants & Equipment (P&E) Team in our Cheshire, CT office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare basic reports on inventory, equipment utilization, and procurement status.
• Contribute to process improvements by updating documentation or identifying efficiencies.
• Visit yards or project sites to gain exposure to equipment operations and field logistics.
• Analyze equipment cost, utilization, and life data sets and assist in preparing model(s) to determine the optimum time to divest of equipment fleet assets.

Requirements:

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in the following fields: Mechanical Engineering, Constructions Management, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or related.
• Strong basic business and financial acumen.
• Comfortable working with numbers and quantitative information.
• Proficient in Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data cleaning, etc.).
• Ability to pull, combine, clean, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources.
• Ability to query data and prepare clear reports and visualizations (charts, dashboards, etc.).
• Interest in equipment, construction technology, or related operational fields (preferred but not required).
• experience with Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
