I’m working with a top-tier international firm with a market-leading construction practice, to recruit a Legal Director into its Leeds team. This is a standout opportunity for a senior construction litigator who wants to work on high-value, complex disputes in a Tier 1 ranked team, with the backing of a collaborative culture and ambitious growth plans.Due to sustained success and an impressive pipeline of work, the team is looking to grow. • You’ll be joining a team of over 30 lawyers in Leeds alone, including 6 Partners, all known for delivering top-quality legal advice across the construction and engineering space
• The work is purely contentious, and you’ll be acting for developers, lenders, landlords, tenants, PPPs and public sector bodies on disputes arising from JCT, NEC and bespoke contracts
• You’ll have the autonomy and support to lead client relationships, supervise junior lawyers and play a key role in growing the practice further
• The team genuinely collaborates across departments, expect to work closely with Real Estate, Banking and Projects colleagues too

What is the firm looking for?

• A Construction Lawyer with at least 10 years’ experience, gained at a well-regarded firm with a strong construction or real estate offering
• Someone with a strong academic record (minimum 2:1) and solid grounding in complex construction disputes
• A lawyer who enjoys leading matters, developing client relationships, and supporting more junior team members
