How can you make a difference?
UNICEF Thailand Office is seeking an individual consultant to work closely with the Communication Team and collaborate with programme and fundraising team to ensure that content is aligned with UNICEF Thailand’s strategic objectives, brand identity and child rights mandate. The consultant will be responsible for ideating and producing content that resonates with target audiences, especially through short-form videos, and will actively monitor emerging formats and trends to be ready to adapt quickly. Creating trend-based, audience focused and fast paste digital content is an essential arm of implementing the Audience – Cenric Strategy for Fundraising and Communication team.
Work assignment (remote/home-based modality, not office-based), Expected deliverables and Delivery schedule:
Home-based modality, but the consultant is required to come to the office at least one day per week. Under the direct supervision of the Communication Specialist, and working closely with various communication, fundraising, and programme section colleagues, the Digital Content Creator will undertake the following tasks:
Assignment:
- Work with the team to shape, contribute digital content to, and align on monthly content plans and campaign priorities
- Conceptualize and develop content ideas for short-form VDOs aligned with the content plan and any ongoing campaigns during the month.
- Responsible for the end-to-end production of short-form video content, including developing scripts and/or storyboards, filming, and editing videos, making sure that they are optimized for platforms such as TikTok, Facebook and Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
- Provide support for related graphic design needs, ensuring the alignment with UNICEF Thailand’s brand guidelines.
- Monitor emerging social media trends, particularly on Instagram and TikTok, and present monthly insights with practical recommendations for future content development.
- Provide additional creative input and production support during campaign periods, as required.

Duration of Contract: 15 March 2026 to 14 March 2027
Digital Content Creator is supposed to have a weekly meeting with the team to update work in progress and the upcoming campaigns/activities.
Duty Travel: The consultant will be based in Bangkok, Thailand and will work under the direct supervision of the contract supervisor. The consultant may be required to travel outside Bangkok for field visits, meetings, workshops, or other activities related to the assignment. The travel costs, including airfare, accommodation, will be covered by UNICEF Thailand in accordance with its rules and regulations. However, the travel must be pre-approved by the contract supervisor and the relevant budget holder before the consultant makes any travel arrangements. The consultant is responsible for obtaining the necessary visas, permits, and insurance for the travel.
Payment Schedule: Payment will be made against timely submission of satisfactory deliverables per agreed work plan and approval of the contract’s supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 1-3 year of demonstrated experience in producing short-form social video content, with a portfolio showing work for one or more of these platforms: TikTok, Facebook and Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts.
- Proven ability to manage the full production process, including conceptualization, scripting/storyboarding, filming (mobile-first), and editing for different platforms.
- Strong knowledge of TikTok and Instagram best practices (e.g., hooks, trends, audio, captions).
- Ability to produce simple, platform-ready design assets (e.g., thumbnails for the videos, story cards) that align with brand requirements.
- Proficiency with video editing tools such as CapCut / Adobe Premiere Pro / DaVinci Resolve (any one of these or more) and graphic tools such as Canva / Adobe Photoshop / Adobe Illustrator (any one of these or more).
- Ability to monitor social media trends and translate them into practical brand-appropriate creative concepts.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with teams and colleagues.
- Strong attention to detail, good time management, and sound judgment around risk, confidentiality, and safeguarding when creating content featuring people and communities, especially young children.
- Excellent Thai and working English (spoken and written) sufficient for scripting, interviews, and coordinating with teams and colleagues.
- Comfortable to appear on camera when needed, or confidently directing others on camera.
- Experience in conducting interviews for collecting information/case studies is a plus.
- Experience in working with UNICEF or other development organizations is a plus.
