The Innovations Against Poverty (IAP) program, funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) and implemented by SNV, aims to support innovative inclusive business models that engage and benefit the low-income population in Cambodia, Ethiopia, Uganda, and Zambia. The program will run a challenge fund to identify and support promising innovations that can contribute to poverty reduction and inclusive development in these countries.
Job Description
The Inception Project Manager will be responsible for setting up the foundations for the successful implementation of the IAP program during its 3-month inception phase. This will involve developing job descriptions and supporting the recruitment of in-country teams, establishing partnerships, ensuring the finalization of the grant manuals, developing a marketing plan for the challenge fund, refreshing the program website, refining the theory of change and monitoring & evaluation framework, and ensuring the integration of gender equality and social inclusion (GESI) principles in all fund launch activities. The objective is to have all key program elements in place to enable a smooth transition to the implementation phase.

Qualifications
- Master’s degree in international development, business administration, or related field
- At least 10 years experience in managing challenge funds, or managing complex development programs
- Demonstrable knowledge, skills and experience in inclusive business, impact investment, GESI mainstreaming
- Experience working in developing countries, especially in Africa and Asia
- Fluency in written and spoken English
