Summary
- INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY PLEASE***
We’re looking for an Interim Consultancy Manager to join us in the London & South East region for approximately 4 months. This role puts you at the heart of the Trust’s ambitions: finding innovative ways of bringing them to life, leading for change and developing successful and effective teams.
What it’s like to work here
As this role covers the London & South East region, your contractual place of work will be the nearest National Trust consultancy office to your home. Our hybrid working policy means you can balance office and home working with site visits and meetings at other National Trust places. We’ll talk about this in more detail at interview, but you should expect to be at a National Trust site for 40–60% of your working week.
What you’ll be doing
This is a senior management role, working across the full breadth of the Trust’s work, but with a particular focus on Curation & Experiences and Growing Support, leading our regional team of Experience and Partnership Curators, Parks and Gardens Consultants and regional Marketing Communications Consultants. You’ll manage and deploy your team, making sure things get done at pace, and you’ll broker the right resources from the right people, locally and nationally, to ensure this happens. You’ll build strong partnerships with a group of General Managers of Trust places in the region to support their delivery and make sure that projects are set up well, run efficiently and completed on time and budget. You’ll also take on a variety of leadership roles for the whole region, perhaps steering elements of the Trust’s strategy, developing the consultancy or influencing national programmes and initiatives.
Who we’re looking for
We’d love to hear from you if this sounds like you:
- qualified or experienced in a specialism such as marketing communications, heritage, conservation or third sector environments
- able to lead a team of specialists covering a wide geographical area, with a culture of inclusivity and diversity
- passionate about understanding the needs and wants of our regional priority audiences to inform our visitor experiences and programming
- dedicated to sustainability and tackling climate change
- a skilled communicator, who can build strong relationships within diverse teams, both internally and externally
- a flexible thinker and problem-solver, skilled at negotiating and building productive networks, and confident in using your expertise to influence decisions
- proactive and organised, with experience of managing projects and a talent for multi-tasking and getting things done, strongly focused on detail, quality, cost and time
- a leader for inclusion, who finds ways to create an inclusive culture
The package
The National Trust has the motto ‘For everyone, for ever’ at its heart. We’re working hard to create an inclusive culture, where everyone feels they belong. It’s important that our people reflect and represent the diversity of the communities and audiences we serve. We welcome and value difference, so when we say we’re for everyone, we want everyone to be welcome in our teams too.
