We are searching for an experienced Consultant to join USAID TRADE Project on Short Term Basis, details are as follows:

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The goal of the USAID Trade Reform and Development in Egypt (TRADE) Project is to boost Egypt’s international trade by increasing exports from Egyptian Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), and in particular New and Expanding Export-Ready Enterprises (NEEREs).

In order to achieve the Project’s goal, the project seeks to attain the following three Results:

• Enhanced Export Capacity of SMEs in selected sectors
• Strengthened public and private Trade-Support Institutions – (TSIs) e.g., Trade Associations,

Export Councils, etc.

• Improved trade and investment policy, regulatory, and institutional environment

In implementing activities to accomplish the three results USAID TRADE aims to achieve the following targets, among others:

• Generate USD225M in NEERE export revenue in selected sectors, collectively.
• Help increase export revenue of TSI member companies benefiting from improved TSI services collectively, by 30%.
• Help reduce cost/time and administrative procedures to trade.

To achieve those targets USAID TRADE will provide assistance to SMEs and TSIs in the following sectors:

• Food processing
• Engineering
• Ready-made garments (RMG)
• Home textiles
• Chemicals
• Packaging and printing
• Building materials

Period of Performance

This consultancy will take place from on/about July 20th, 2024, to o/a December 31st, 2024

Level of Effort: 40 working Days

OBJECTIVES

Enhance SMEs’ export capabilities by developing and optimizing ecommerce platforms, including SEO, multi-language support, and ERP/CRM integration.

Tasks

Ecommerce Platform Development/Migration:

1. Develop or migrate the SME’s website to Shopify.

2. Configure basic administrative settings.

3. Import and organize store content and data.

4. Design a mobile-responsive store.

5. Set up URL redirects, shipping, taxes, and payment providers.

6. Optimize the site for SEO, place test orders, setup domain, blog, and provide orders and customer migration guidance.

7. Enable multi-language and multi-currency support.

8. Design online graphics, banners, messaging/copy/content, social media icons, custom headers and footers, custom fonts, badges, and buttons.

9. Troubleshoot navigation menu, integrate with other systems, bug fixes, and maintenance for up to 3 months post-launch.

Website Development/Revamping:

1. Design online graphics, banners, messaging/copy/content, and social media icons.

2. Customize banners, headers, footers, fonts, badges, and buttons.

3. Develop landing pages, update product variants, troubleshoot checkout flow and navigation menu, and integrate with other systems.

4. Provide copywriting and edits, enable multi-language support, fix coding issues, and maintain bug fixes for up to 3 months post-launch.

Integration Services:

1. Integrate the website with SMEs’ ERP or CRM systems (e.g., Odoo, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, Zoho).

Deliverables

• Milestone 1: Wireframe development, website/ecommerce platform development, improvements, and modifications.
• Milestone 2: Launch the website, go live, deliver source code, and provide maintenance and bug fixes for 3 months post-launch

Required Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven experience in developing and customizing Shopify websites.
• Portfolio showcasing previous ecommerce projects on Shopify.
• Strong understanding of SEO best practices and multi-language support.
• Experience with ERP/CRM integrations.
• Ability to provide ongoing maintenance and support post-launch.
