This program aims to provide Egyptian companies with the necessary knowledge and expertise to effectively engage in exporting to the United States. The program is focused on the following sectors: (1) apparel/textiles and (2) food.
USAID TRADE has actively supported its partner TSI, the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt (AmCham), to develop export-related services. In this context, in collaboration with AmCham, the project plans to develop a comprehensive training program, the US Market Navigator Program, to support Egyptian companies in the (1) apparel/textiles and (2) food sectors to successfully export their products to the US market. This training program aims to equip participants with the essential knowledge and skills required to understand the US market dynamics within these sectors, identify opportunities for Egyptian products, assess logistics and market entry strategies, market segmentation, target prices, and latest import legislation, and navigate US import regulations; establish successful trade relationships; and develop export business plans to enter the US market.

It offers a hands-on learning experience through project-based learning, enabling participants to understand and effectively enter and expand in the US market. The program’s practical nature ensures its relevance and effectiveness, as it is specifically tailored to the key exporting sectors from Egypt: (1) apparel/textiles and (2) food.
