Candidates should evidence broad interest in Vascular, Regional, Neuroanaesthesia, Major Elective Orthopedics, Major Urology, Plastics, Gastrointestinal or Pre-operative assessment(Full/Part time substantive)Main duties of the jobThe post holder will have a varied programme covering a range of some of the above specialities. NBT will shortly be opening the Elective Care Centre, an exciting new development including 4 new purpose built operating theatres in a dedicated elective facility. Individual multipurpose medirooms provide the environment for admission, recovery and discharge, and offer the facility for performing regional blocks. There is a state of the art 46 bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) adjacent to the operating theatres, emergency department and imaging.The Brunel Building has brought together the specialist teams formerly based at Frenchay Hospital and Southmead Hospital. These include regional adult services in Orthopaedics, Plastic Surgery and Burns, Neurosurgery, Vascular surgery, Urology and Renal services.
