UNICEF works in some of the world’s toughest places, to reach the world’s most disadvantaged children. To save their lives. To defend their rights. To help them fulfill their potential.
Across 190 countries and territories, we work for every child, everywhere, every day, to build a better world for everyone.
And we never give up.
For every child, a future
How can you make a difference?
Purpose of Activity/Assignment:
UNICEF’s Regional Office for South Asia (ROSA) works with all eight UNICEF Country Offices (COs) to help design, deliver and demonstrate results for children in the region. In South Asia, UNICEF continues to make tangible progress in improving the quality of life of vulnerable children and their families by strengthening vital sectors including health, nutrition, education, WASH, child protection, adolescent development and participation, climate change, gender equality and inclusiveness.
Climate Change is an escalating equity issue in South Asia, with boys and girls affected differently based on their intersecting economic status, rural/urban location, culture, level of education, ethnicity and others. The incessant onslaught of manmade and natural disasters and erratic and extreme weather patterns such as floods, droughts, extreme heatwaves and winters, earthquakes, tropical storms are increasingly exposing children and youth to a myriad of dangers and vulnerabilities and hindering their growth and development. Addressing Climate Change issues urgently and sustainably will build a more sustainable future for children and youth, and for the region as well.
Mitigating climate change is also a key advocacy priority for ROSA. As part of its advocacy efforts, the ROSA Communication and Advocacy section has been leveraging significant regional and global moments and all its digital channels to catalyse partnerships with key audiences and push for solutions to combat climate change.
UNICEF requires a content producer, who offers services in the field of photography, filmmaking and coordination, to produce high quality multimedia assets capturing the impact of UNICEF’s climate programming. It is envisioned that the content, characters, stories and evolution of the Climate programme will span several years as part of a longitudinal project.
This high-quality multimedia content will be disseminated through ROSA, CO and HQ platforms and channels.
