1. BACKGROUND TO THE ASSIGNMENT:
International Medical Corps (IMC) has been providing vital mental health care services, Depression, OCD mental health services, and protection to those impacted by war, natural disasters, and disease in Syria since 2008. This training aims to build the capacity of IMC staff in using the CBT approach to treat common mental health disorders.
2. PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:
The purpose of this assignment is to provide CBT training and supervision to IMC staff, including case managers, psychotherapists, and MHPSS supervisors, to enhance their skills in providing mental health services to Syrian populations.
3. SCOPE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:
- Develop and deliver 5-day CBT training program for IMC staff
- Provide 1 month of individual and group supervision to trained staff
- Develop training materials suitable for the Syrian context
- Deliver reports on the CBT training and supervision sessions
4. DELIVERABLES DESCRIPTION:
- Detailed training and supervision plans
- CBT training and Supervision report
4.1. IMPLEMENTATION OF THE ASSIGNMENT DELIVERABLES
- Deliver the training program to at least 15 participants within February and March.
- The consultant will deliver the training program to IMC staff, including case managers, psychotherapists, and MHPSS supervisors.
- The consultant will continue to provide ongoing support to trained case manager and MHPSS Supervisor ,Psychologist for a period of 1 month.

This is a stand-alone assignment
6. TRANSFER OF SKILLS (IF ANY)
The consultant will ensure that IMC staff have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide CBT services after the assignment.
CONSULTANT SPECIFICATIONS:
- Doctoral or master’s degree in psychology, clinical psychology, psychiatry, or related field Certification in CBT from a recognized body
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the MHPSS field Minimum of 2 years’ experience in MHPSS training and supervision, particularly on CBT approach and techniques
- Excellent facilitation and training skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Cultural sensitivity
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional proficiency in English. Arabic is desired
