University College London Hospitals (UCLH) is seeking to appoint a full time Consultant Haematologist in multiple myeloma, including early phase clinical trials, with a commitment to high quality patient care, innovative service models and excellence in education/training and research.The post holder will undertake ward attending for the myeloma team, myeloma clinics and working in the Clinical Research Facility. They will also contribute to postgraduate education, as well as participating in relevant MDTs and facilitating patient care with referring centres. The post holder will be expected to be active in clinical research.CV required with application.Main duties of the jobThe successful applicant will be expected to join the myeloma team at UCLH to manage and develop the inpatient and outpatient care of patients with plasma cell disorders at UCLH. The role will involve two adult myeloma clinics per week and ad hoc sessions in the CRF. There will also be the opportunity to be involved in late phase clinical studies. The appointee will be expected to attend the relevant MDTs and be involved in governance and service development activities. Attending and on call will be for the myeloma service at UCLH.The postholder will also join the CRF team, providing access to early phase clinical trials in these disorders.The successful applicant will be expected to further develop an existing plasma cell disorder portfolio of early phase clinical trials and build relationships with Industry and other key stakeholders (NIHR, charities etc). The postholder will work closely with the other Haematology PIs and the Cancer CRF Lead to ensure the Haematology portfolio is supported and collaborate with the UCL Cancer Institute to develop academic proposals.
