Consultant – Internal Audit Consultant

Mastech Digital provides digital and mainstream technology staff as well as Digital Transformation Services for all American Corporations. We are currently seeking an Internal Audit Consultant for our client in the Professional Services domain. We value our professionals, providing comprehensive benefits and the opportunity for growth. This is a Contract position, and the client is looking for someone to start immediately.

Duration: 12 Months Contract

Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid)

Salary: $65.00-$70.00/Hourly

Role: Internal Audit Consultant

Primary Skills: Finance Accounting (FI)

Role Description: The Internal Audit Consultant must have 6+ years of experience. 

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough evaluations of the organization’s financial systems, processes, and controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements.
• Develop, implement effective strategies, and action plans to ensure the organization is prepared for SOX compliance audits.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, internal audit, IT, and legal, to identify potential gaps in internal controls and develop actionable plans to address them.
• Stay updated with the latest changes in SOX regulations and industry best practices and provide guidance and training to stakeholders on compliance requirements.
• Monitor and assess the effectiveness of internal controls through testing and ongoing risk assessments and make recommendations for improvements to mitigate risks and strengthen the control environment.

Required Skills:

• Heavy SOX (testing, risk)
• More than just testers
• Tech background nice to have

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or another related field or Equivalent

Experience: Minimum 6+ years of experience

Relocation: This position will not cover relocation expenses

Travel: No
