Overview

An IT Security Consultant is expected to perform routine infrastructure installation, configuration, operations and maintenance activities. He/she is tasked to check and troubleshoot basic system infrastructure issues and take the necessary actions to resolve issues based on pre-defined Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and processes. Due to the nature of the job, he/she is required to be on 24/7 standby on-site or off-site to be asked to return to work after office hours, weekends and public holidays for operational or implementation projects.

An IT Security Consultant must be proactive and vigilant in monitoring, managing the system infrastructure and addressing issues that may arise. He/she displays willingness to learn new skills to keep up with current technological trends and adopts a mind-set of continuous learning.

What we seek to accomplish together:

• Assist with monitoring Cybersecurity infrastructure traffic and performance
• Configure Cybersecurity infrastructure and related computing environments such as computer hardware, systems software, applications software
• Perform routine Cybersecurity infrastructure operations activities
• Assist with problem or issue identification and resolution
• Escalate problems or issues to higher management
• Log incidents to problem management system
• Maintain documentation of all conducted maintenance procedures and tests
• Perform routine Cybersecurity infrastructure maintenance activities
• Assist with Cybersecurity infrastructure testing and ongoing optimisation or changes, such as scheduled upgrades and updates
• Maintain documentation of all conducted Cybersecurity infrastructure optimisation activities

A little bit about you:

• Diploma in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in supporting Carbon Black Response, Firewall Administration and Operation
• 0-1 year of experience in IT Security
