About the Role

Our Forensic Technology team in India works with corporations, governments and law firms to meet with legal, regulatory and investigative demands by leveraging our skills to enable our clients to more confidently govern, secure, find, analyze and rapidly understand their data in the context of compliance and risk. 

The Team is seeking a software configuration and development Consultant/Senior Consultant as part of our development team that leads the configuration and development of Legal Technology solutions to meet our client needs.

The Consultant/Senior Consultant role will work with the Development Lead and FTI’s Legal Operations leaders as well as other industry leading subject matter experts across legal and corporate disciplines to best serve our clients.

What You’ll Do

  • Leverage and contribute towards established development and testing methodologies and best practices.
  • Collaborate with client-facing consulting teams to configure and develop technology solutions across multiple projects.
  • Translate functional design into technical design documents that align with capabilities of technology solutions.
  • Design and implement integrations within clients’ technology ecosystem.
  • Perform data migration activities (e.g., data extraction, transformation, and loading) from clients’ legacy repositories to the desired technology solution.
  • Test configurations and customizations.
  • Act as a team player and support the team during peak demand cycles (e.g., Go-Live).

Basic Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree required. An advanced degree in a related discipline of study preferred.
  • For Consultant Level: at least 1-3 years of relevant experience; For Senior Consultant Level: at least 4-6 years of relevant experience
  • Must have professional services experience with hands-on experience in configuring and developing legal technology solutions on TeamConnect Enterprise.
  • Intermediate or higher level skills in Java 8, XML and HTML/Javascript
  • Proven hands-on Software Development experience
  • Proven working experience in Java development
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of tools.
  • Ability and eagerness to learn new tools and programming languages
  • Travel to FTI regional/global office(s) as required.
  • Attend early/late hours’ regional/global meetings as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications implementing legal technology solutions.
  • Intermediate level skills in Groovy. Familiarity with creating a DSL a plus.
  • Intermediate level skills in AngularJS or other front-end frameworks/libraries like React
  • Familiarity with CSS and flexbox
  • Familiarity with TeamConnect SOAP-based WebServices API
