ABOUT THE JOB

As a Consultant/Senior Consultant/Principal Consultant – Technology, you will be part of a technical team of Capco consultants, working with clients in the Capital Markets space. You will develop an understanding of our client’s strategic direction and provide tech consulting support. You will also be responsible for the technical analysis, design, and project and delivery of the project, as well as work to ensure project timelines and milestones are met. Fitting that description, you will also need to be supremely motivated and able to work in a team where clients become colleagues too.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Experience with a large global consulting organisation, within their technology practice with experience delivering capital markets related projects.
• Deep understanding of tech modernization programmes within banks and/or insurers, including cloud migration, API enablement, and micro-services.
• Experience in leading application development programmes and how to operationalize and integrate new applications into the existing legacy structure.
• Experience in guiding new technology solutions through complex architectural governance forums.

REQUIREMENTS

Key for this role is there is requirement to have a background in Financial Services or Insurance within one of our core capability areas:

• Digital Transformation
• Data Strategy, Data Management & Data Analytics
• Business & Finance Transformation
• IT Transformation

We are also keen to bring on those from a consulting background in other industries that can then apply these perspectives and techniques to our core sectors and capability.

We are looking for exceptional talent with the following:

• Minimum 4+ years of experience as a management consultant, or experience in business analysis and project management.
• Solid experience in capital markets regulatory type work and familiar with trade lifecycle, key capital markets regulations, etc.
• Experience in developing and evaluating technical procedures, controls, user requirements, and specifications to identify gaps between the current and future state, and propose technical enhancements to current business processes, reports, and applications to optimize system effectiveness.
• Solid understanding of tech modernization programmes and experience in delivering new application development programmes or technology solutions.
• An outstanding ability to analyse problems, apply quantitative analytical approaches, communicate effectively and confidently (both verbal and written), and work well in cross-functional teams.
• Strong understanding of Prince 2/Agile is preferred.
• Experience and capabilities to communicate with client leaders to influence direction and manage expectations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while following best practices and company process.
