Our Sustainability & Climate Change team seeks to build a better working world by helping businesses and governments respond to societal, environmental and economic challenges. They help businesses understand and evaluate the broader value impacts and outcomes associated with their organizations, operations, programs and projects. Our global team is multidisciplinary and combines our core knowledge in accounting and reporting with knowledge in technical and regulatory sustainability issues. 

Our teams help clients improve and report on their sustainability performance. Specifically, we help clients manage emerging risks, and reduce costs through the design and implementation of systems and processes and leverage opportunities in areas such as climate change, health and safety, labor rights, nonfinancial reporting, supply chain and environmental management. 

The opportunity 

EY has a well-established Climate Change and Sustainability practice to respond to our client’s growing need of guidance in this area, including exposure to energy and carbon management, green building HSE management systems, sustainable value creation, sustainability digitization, business model innovation, sustainable supply chain, Sustainability ESG reporting and Sustainable Finance. 

Our Climate Change and Sustainability Services (CCaSS) team is growing exponentially, and as a consultant you’ll play a key role in that growth. We are looking to expand our team of professionals focused on providing high value, independent, trusted advice to our clients as they transition to a more sustainable economy. Our clients include many of today’s leading global companies and innovative growth companies Working across all industries, you’ll develop your career by communicating creative, strategic goals both internally and externally. It’s all about listening to and understanding our clients to give them a truly exceptional experience in a field where there really are no off-the-shelf recommendations.

Your key responsibilities 

In this role you will work as part of a wider team to support business development efforts, win project work and advise EY’s clients on sustainability advisory and related services. In addition you will be part of a market leading team that is capable of providing board level strategic advice and winning large transformation engagements that leverage the wider competencies of EY as well as raise EY’s profile in the market, especially in relation to the sustainable & inclusive economy

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Undergraduate degree (or equivalent) or Master’s Degree in relevant discipline: Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business or Engineering
• Consultant role or a professional with at least 2-5 years of experience in a position focused on for Senior Consultant Role sustainability and climate change.
• Understanding of the key sustainability issues and drivers and how they link to business value.
• Prior consulting experience is an advantage.
• Understanding of sustainability best practices in areas of transformation, supply chain, digitization, business model innovation and value measurement
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team and environment.
• Flexible in attitude to deal with GCC mind-set.
• Strong technical, quantitative and analytical skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
