Overview
The Strategy & Operations Consultant will operate as a key member of Gallagher’s Internal Consulting group, focusing on driving the company’s corporate strategy and operational efficiency. They will collaborate with senior leaders and staff to address critical business issues and support decision-making processes that will fuel growth and success. Assignments for this role will primarily revolve around redesigning Gallagher’s future operating models, implementing strategic organizational changes, and managing programs across various initiatives. The Manager will be responsible for leading projects that involve quantitative analysis, business case modeling, designing innovative work methods, restructuring business and functional units, providing change management support, assess the potential for technology and offshoring, and cultivating strong internal client relationships.
How you’ll make an impact
Collaborate with functional and divisional business leaders to facilitate processes related to Organization Design and Development, with a strong focus on enhancing corporate strategy and efficiency.
- Define innovative solutions to address critical issues such as organizational effectiveness, talent management, and overall business performance improvement.
- Utilize exceptional problem-solving skills to craft and present actionable recommendations, working closely with leadership to implement solutions.
- Develop comprehensive business cases, quantifying the financial impact and identifying sources of value for strategic initiatives.
- Generate hypotheses for business performance improvements, structure and conduct data analysis to drive informed decision-making.
- Develop process flows and change diagrams to identify and implement organizational and workflow enhancements that align with the corporate strategy.
- Maintain and update project management documents to ensure effective tracking and communication of progress.
- Take ownership of driving the implementation of improvement programs and initiatives.
About You
Strategic Partner
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically, identify and solve difficult business problems
- Strategic mindset with an ability to think broadly, frame key questions, develop analytical frameworks and then create a work plan to deliver an answer and clearly synthesize the results
- Definition and development of strategic frameworks to articulate Gallagher’s strategies to various stakeholders
- Collaborate with various divisional and functional groups to aid in strategy, and will own projects end-to-end, developing insightful analyses and communicating in a compelling manner
Technical Skills
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills
- Ability to gather, synthesize and analyze data and draw logical conclusions
- Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint (written presentations for a senior audience), Excel (mathematical modeling of large data sets), Word (white papers)
- Well-developed business judgment. Ability to understand financial and non-financial aspects of a problem and use sound business judgment to recommend actions
Interpersonal Skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and in written
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited guidance
- Demonstrated ability to interact with senior leadership
- Commitment to professional and personal growth
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 1-2 years of management consulting experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the insurance brokerage industry
