We are seeking a Controller to oversee the financial integrity of our North American operations. This role is central to ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with tax and insurance requirements, daily cash management, and execution of internal controls.
position Summary
The Controller manages all general ledger activity for Wall Colmonoy’s North American entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with US GAAP and company policy. This position is responsible for monthly financial statements, oversight of annual financial audits/reviews, and managing relationships with external tax, audit and insurance providers.
The Controller also monitors daily cash position and working capital, participates in the annual insurance renewal process, and drives ongoing improvements in accounting operations and systems.
Essential Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & General Ledger Management

• Oversee general ledger accounting for all North American entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and deliver timely, reliable reporting to executive leadership.
• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Coordinate and lead the annual financial audit/review, ensuring audit readiness and timely completion.
• Maintain and improve internal controls and ensure consistent Application of corporate accounting policies.
• Provide technical accounting guidance and partner with operations on financial matters.

Tax & Insurance Compliance

• Coordinate with third-party tax providers to ensure accurate and timely corporate tax filings. (Note: This role does not involve tax planning or strategy.)
• Oversee corporate insurance programs, including general liability and employee benefits.
• Participate in annual insurance renewals, reviewing coverage options, policy terms, and cost considerations with brokers.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with financial and regulatory reporting requirements related to insurance and tax.

Cash & Treasury Management

• Manage the company’s daily cash position, ensuring sufficient liquidity and visibility.
• Monitor working capital performance and drive improvements in AR, AP, and inventory efficiency.
• Partner with financial institutions on banking relationships and cash flow strategies.

Systems, Controls & Process Improvement

• Drive standardization and automation of accounting processes across locations.
• Champion ongoing improvement in financial systems and controls.
• Lead and support Microsoft D365 ERP enhancements, ensuring high-quality financial data and reporting integrity.
• experience with AI and accounting automation tools is a plus.

Qualifications and Experience

• 10+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong expertise in general ledger management, consolidations, and GAAP financial reporting.
• Proven experience leading audits and preparing financial statements.
• Hands-on experience with corporate tax compliance and insurance program administration.
• Demonstrated success in cash management and working capital optimization.
• Proficiency with Microsoft D365 ERP or similar enterprise financial systems.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• CPA or CMA is a plus but not required.
• Experience with AI-driven finance tools or accounting automation is a plus.
