We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-orientedControls Application Engineering Internto join our dynamic Controls team. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in the field of engineering and controls within a leading organization. Timeline:This Internship opportunity is for May – August 2026

Location: Washington DC

What’s in it for you:

• You will have the opportunity to own a meaningful, real-life project within the Controls Department that can directly create a positive impact on Daikin Applied’s HVAC Development

• Learn how to develop and improve control sequences for HVAC systems to outline how they run

• Collaborate with engineers to solve problems and support the creation of standard operating procedures

What you will do:

• Assist with product selection, pricing, and basic application questions.

• Research new products and competitors; share feedback with product teams.

• Keep databases and records organized and up to date.

• Provide basic technical support for programming and networking needs.

• Work with team leads on daily tasks and assignments.

• Help with other projects as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Sophomore or Junior pursuing Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.

• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)

• Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position

• Reside within 100 miles of our Bowie, MD location

The typical hourly pay rate for this position is $25/hr – $28/hr. Thisrepresentsthe pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
