Job Title: Conventional Machinist

Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating conventional mills, lathes, and grinding machines to manufacture parts for the aerospace and defense industry. Additionally, you will conduct your own inspections using super micrometers and calipers.

• Perform inspections using super micrometers and calipers.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality production standards.

Essential Skills

• experience with conventional lathe and mill operations.
• Proficiency in manual machining techniques.
• Ability to operate OD and ID grinders.
• Competence in using super micrometers and calipers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in the aerospace industry is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with Bridgeport machinery.
• Strong attention to detail and quality assurance skills.

Work Environment

You will be working the first shift from 6 am to 4 pm. The role requires flexibility for occasional overtime and half days on Saturdays as needed. The work environment is centered around precision and high standards, using advanced machining tools and equipment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Valencia, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 – $40.00/hr.
