Legal Secretary – ConveyancingReadingSalary negotiable depending upon experienceThe FirmMy client is a well-established law firm based in Reading. They pride themselves in providing a professional approach in a friendly environment. Legal experience not necessarily a requirement if the candidate comes from a professional background and is willing to learn.The roleAn excellent opportunity has arisen for a Legal Secretary to join their Residential Conveyancing Department. Working directly with a fee earner you will support them in all day to day activities to include typing of correspondence, liaising with clients, other firms and estate agents, scanning of important documents and ensuring that all files are kept in order and compliant with CQS and Lexcel quality standards.The Ideal CandidateA legal secretary who is pro-active, has excellent client care skills, the ability to work on their own initiative and has the following:

  • Previous experience of conveyancing procedures
  • Leap
  • Strong and efficient secretarial and admin skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Good telephone manner
  • Fast, accurate typing ability
  • IT literate – Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook
  • Discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Experience of using a case management system (although not essential as training will be provided)
