Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking skilled Maintenance Mechanics for our 2nd shift to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for dismantling defective industrial food production equipment and installing new or repaired parts according to factory and industry standards. You will collaborate closely with other team members to meet company goals. We offer a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including laundered uniforms.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.
• Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunctions and discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems or repair machines.
• Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts.
• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery and equipment.
• Install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers, breakers, switches, receptacles, wiring, and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
• Repair and maintain the physical structure of equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.

Essential Skills

• 1+ year experience in preventative maintenance on production equipment/machines, including routine greasing, lubrication, gear oil changes, and basic mechanical repairs.
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance documentation and the ability to follow and record preventative maintenance schedules.
• Knowledge of facility repairs, including basic plumbing and carpentry.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to be trained.
• Electrical knowledge and experience, including the use of fluke meters or voltmeters for electrical testing and measurements (OHMs/Amperage/Voltage).
• Possession of own basic tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with maintenance, mechanical repairs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of schematics, preventive maintenance, and industrial maintenance.
• Experience with 3-phase electrical systems and electrical troubleshooting.
• Ability to interpret blueprints.
• Proficiency in machine repair and AC/DC electrical maintenance.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $54080.00 – $72800.00/yr.

Great benefits – start after 90 days (can provide candidates benefit package)

PTO

Upon the one year anniversary D&W contributes 3% (safe harbor) of their gross salary into the 401(K) . If they also defer, the first 6% percent of their deferral is matched at 25%.
