Department Information
Our Cooperative Education Department is seeking part-time faculty to facilitate career-related learning activities in and out of the classroom.
Beyond the required education and experience instructors must have a passion for what they teach, and have teaching styles that support student success. Instructors are responsible for following Division and College procedures in support of teaching and learning.
The Cooperative Education Department is part of the Division of Workforce Development and provides high-quality, academic credit-bearing educational internship experiences to students in a wide variety of settings. The ideal candidate for this instructional position will bring innovative and participatory leadership to the College and the Cooperative Education Department. The ideal candidate will be able to facilitate meaningful, career-related work experiences for students and design/teach learning activities in and out of the classroom. The ideal candidate will thrive both independently and as a collaborative team member. As the teacher of record, the ideal candidate will function at the highest professional level, representing the College in the community and in the classroom.
The Position
Faculty members in the Cooperative Education Department facilitate for students on-the-job learning experiences related to the student’s area of study or career goals. Learning sites are primarily in the local community but may also be throughout the state and Northwest Region. This position is responsible for working with students in the Arts Division. Co-op faculty identify learning sites, assist students with resume and interview preparation, monitor student learning at work sites, evaluate student learning and assign term grades.

Supervision Statement:
The Dean of Workforce Development is the supervisor for this coordinator position. The dean will provide guidance and direction to the coordinator regarding responsibilities, including program oversight and authority.
Faculty report to a department or division dean, and perform instruction-related duties and responsibilities in a timely manner and in accordance with the mission, policies, and procedures of the college.
Physical Demands/Working Environment:
This position requires that an employee be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time during transit to and from site visits. Ability to drive a car. Must have reliable vehicle for travel between college and work sites. Perform cognitive and psychometric work for more than six (6) hours a day. Work may require transporting materials up to twenty-five (25) pounds. Work Safely.
