About the Role

Event Support

  • Fully support the delivery of M4D content at flagship GSMA events.
  • Maintain data in Salesforce (training provided if needed).
  • Generate event reports using Excel.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to handle invitations and distribute codes.
  • Manage event registration for stakeholders.

Administrative and Operational Support

  • Organise calendars and schedule meetings for the M4D team and stakeholders.
  • Provide operational support to the M4D Senior Business Manager as required.
  • Ensure accurate and timely updates in Salesforce to support event-related and team operations.

Internal Information Sharing and Communications

  • Work closely with internal teams to gather, organize, and share key information about M4D’s programmes, activities, and achievements.
  • Develop and maintain internal communication channels to ensure team members are informed and aligned with ongoing initiatives.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Liaise across GSMA departments to identify opportunities to enhance M4D’s visibility and profile.
  • Work collaboratively with teams such as Marketing, Government Affairs, and Events to align messaging and amplify M4D’s contributions to GSMA’s broader mission.
  • Identify and share potential cross-departmental synergies that can support M4D’s goals.
  • Support the coordination of internal presentations, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions to highlight M4D’s work and impact.

About You

  • You will have some experience in event and project management
  • You are and be adept at developing and managing relationships with various internal and external stakeholders, ensuring everyone is kept aware of relevant developments and consulted where needed.
  • Your ability to navigate and manage these relationships will be crucial to the success of the programme.
  • You will have a proven track record of working across diverse stakeholders and facilitating results-based partnerships that deliver commercial and social impact
  • You will be naturally curious, able to think beyond business-as-usual scenarios, and your passion for leveraging digital solutions to tackle humanitarian challenges will drive your success in this role.
  • You will be fluent and have compelling written and oral communication skills in English. Knowledge of another language will be a significant asset in this role.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will need to express complex technical or commercial issues in plain language, contribute to research and blogs and represent GSMA in multiple stages.

Capabilities

  • Knowledge of Salesforce is preferred
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is required.
  • Previous experience or a strong interest in event coordination and internal communications.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • A proactive, self-motivated attitude with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with fluency in English.
  • Ability to engage confidently with internal stakeholders at all levels and external partners.
