Summary:
This position focuses on providing transactional and regulatory legal support to Benchmark Electronics, Inc. and its affiliates (the “Company”), with a strong emphasis on government contracting and related compliance obligations. The Corporate Counsel will support the negotiation and drafting of customer, vendor, and subcontractor agreements, assist with risk identification and mitigation, and provide practical legal advice to internal business stakeholders.
The role requires sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across functions. The Corporate Counsel works under the direction of the Sr. Corporate Counsel works under the direction of the Sr. Corporate Counsel and other senior leaders and supports the Company’s operations by delivering timely, business-oriented legal guidance.

education / experience:
*A Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited college or university.
*Licensed to practice law and in good standing with at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
*Three plus years of experience practicing law, preferably in corporate, commercial, or government contracting matters.
*Government contracting experience is highly preferred, whether gained in-house, at a law firm, or in a government setting.
*Experience interacting with cross-functional business partners and outside counsel.
