Position Overview:

This position will lead operational and SOX risks and controls related activities for the Corporate Controller team within Finance division. Reporting to the VP – Corporate Accounting, Analysis and Tax compliance, the successful candidate will collaborate with the divisional risk and controls leads, Finance Division Risk Officer team, and various process owners within Corporate Controller area to assess and report on operational events and issues, lead continuous risk assessments, assist in control design and implementation, manage issue remediation enforcement, and facilitate entity-wide SOX attestation process. Our Impact:

Corporate Controller Risk and Controls team acts as trusted advisors for our business partners as we proactively support in assessing and identifying potential risks/control gaps that may impede our process owners from meeting the business objectives.

Your Impact:

As a Risk and Control Senior Manager, your work will help Corporate Controller team to improve the risk management process and make our control environment stronger. Your primary categories of work include:

  • Advise in identifying/assessing relevant risks and designing adequate controls that mitigate the risks
  • Support the process owners in identifying an issue, assessing severity, developing, and tracking remediation action plans
  • Lead quarterly SOX attestation process for the Enterprise
  • Manage quarterly Risk Control Self-Assessments (RCSA)
  • Support business during oversight activities performed by the Internal Audit, 2nd Line of Defense, or Regulator
  • Provide guidance to process owners in implementing operational risk management standards and SOX compliance
  • Maintain operational risk data stored in BWise, update system as needed to ensure data completeness and accuracy
  • Supervise 1 Risk and Control staff
  • Challenge status quo. Find opportunities to improve and streamline existing processes.
  • Undertake ad-hoc projects as needed

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of related work experience
  • 2+ years of management experience
  • Ability to evaluate and review the compliance against established policies and standards
  • Strong MS Office suite skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • College Degree or equivalent experience; advanced studies/degree preferred

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $149,000 – $223,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
