Venable’s Corporate Group is looking to recruit a summer associate with an interest in corporate transactional law to join our 2027 Summer Program in Washington, D.C. Our program is designed to provide a realistic and immersive experience of life as a junior associate, offering hands-on exposure to real client work.

As a summer associate, you will work on active matters, collaborate with attorneys and gain valuable insights into our firm’s culture and values. Beyond substantive legal work, the program includes opportunities to build meaningful relationships with peers, engage with firm leadership, and expand your professional network.

• We seek candidates with strong academic performance in both law school and undergraduate studies, and a clear interest in corporate transactional practice – whether through prior professional experience, involvement in relevant student organizations, journal work, or related coursework.

Venable summer associates are paid a weekly salary of $4,134 which is reflective of annualized associate starting salary of $215,000.
