As a Corrections Food Service Instructor, you will provide inmates with vocational training in food preparation, production, service, and baking. You will lead by instructing workers on the safe operation of culinary equipment and ensuring all cleaning and maintenance tasks meet sanitary standards. By overseeing the preparation of meals according to specific recipes, you will guarantee that high-quality food is served to the facility in a timely and efficient manner. Beyond culinary instruction, you will manage the operational integrity of the kitchen by inspecting service areas and food for compliance with safety regulations. Your administrative duties will include planning work assignments, evaluating inmate performance, and maintaining accurate records.
