Organization Overview
Way of Hope for Life Organization (WHLO) is a charitable organization dedicated to empowering Afghan individuals for a brighter and more sustainable future. The organization is establishing an English language training center in Istanbul to support Afghan migrants, especially young women who have been deprived of educational opportunities. We believe that proficiency in English opens doors to legal employment in Europe and the United States while reducing vulnerability to exploitation and human trafficking.
This center will also be open to other language learners residing in Istanbul, regardless of nationality
Position Overview
We are looking for a Course Manager with experience in course administration and team management. The ideal candidate should be fluent in both English and Turkish and have strong organizational and leadership skills. The Course Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the English language courses, ensuring the smooth delivery of lessons, and maintaining high educational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, coordination, and delivery of the English language courses.
- Manage a team of instructors and ensure adherence to the curriculum.
- Develop and implement administrative procedures to improve the efficiency and quality of courses.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of students and instructors, providing support where necessary.
- Work closely with the program unit to assess students’ learning needs and ensure teaching methods meet those needs.
- Prepare reports for the organization’s leadership, donors, and stakeholders regarding course progress and outcomes.
- Coordinate with external partners and stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of the language training center.
- Ensure effective communication between staff, students, and management.
- Assist in the recruitment and training of new instructors.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in educational administration or course management.
- Fluency in English and Turkish (both written and spoken).
- Proven experience in managing teams and coordinating educational programs.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
