Crate/ Pallet Builder Production Lead

FCA Packaging, a leader in innovative wood packaging solutions, seeks a Production Lead to oversee manufacturing operations at our embedded customer facility. This role requires strong leadership, customer service skills, and the ability to manage daily production while maintaining quality and safety standards. 

HOURS – 7:00 a.m. – 3.30 p.m. + OT & Saturdays on occasion (end of month rush)
 
Team Leadership & Customer Relations:

• Maintain a professional and customer-focused presence within the Caterpillar facility.
• Ensure clear communication with the customer and internal teams.

Production Tasks & Management:

• Oversee and assist with the manufacturing of crates, ensuring products meet blueprint specifications.
• Manage special orders, ensuring accuracy with provided prints and part lists.
• Order and receive lumber and hardware for production needs.
• Maintain organization of inventory and production supplies.

Safety & Compliance:

• Enforce all safety protocols and ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Identify and address equipment maintenance needs.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, properly disposing of scraps.

Skills:

• Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and using nail guns, tape measures, and other tools.
• Ability to operate a forklift and manage material movement efficiently.
• Strong organizational skills with initiative and drive.
• Construction and/ or building experience
• Computer competency.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
