Sompo has a unique opportunity for a Crisis Management Exposure Analyst in our Crisis Management
Underwriting team in our Underwriting business.Our Crisis Management team offers coverage for a complete range of Political Violence and Terrorism perils.

What you’ll be doing:
- Ensuring the accurate and timely capture of Crisis Management (Political Violence and Terrorism)
exposures into our aggregation system (EBIX – Exposure Hub)
- Run monthly aggregate and modelling reports for underwriting team and governance processes
- Portfolio analysis- running monthly internal reports via Exposure Hub
- Assisting in the production of Reinsurance Submissions (running RDS reports, presenting findings to
Senior Analyst)
- Interact with the underwriting support functions, eg. Claims, Risk, Compliance.
- Supporting Underwriting team in day-to-day handling of the Crisis Management book, at times may be
required to support other business lines such as Energy.
- Preparing information for Underwriting purposes, specifically regarding account pricing, and account
performance analysisWhat you’ll bring:
- Numerate/Scientific qualifications
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills / teamwork
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Previous knowledge or experience in Catastrophe Modelling beneficial but not essential
- Some Sequel experience would be beneficial, but training will be provided
- Insurance industry beneficial but not essential
