Custodial Supervisor – GSA Facilities – Farmers Branch/Sherman, Texas Summary: The Custodial Supervisor performs responsible supervisory work involving the assignment and direct supervision of custodial employees in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of building interiors and exteriors, to include grounds maintenance, and related services. This position oversees custodial staff encompassing two Federal Buildings located in Farmer’s Branch and Sherman, TX. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Performing routine inspections and quality control for work performed by their staff.
Training new employees in proper custodial procedures for the use of manually operated tools, electrically powered machines, cleaning compounds, solvents, and chemicals.
The Custodial Supervisor shall have minimum of three (3) years of experience with managing & related services in larger office building(s), of similar size and complexity:
Similar size and complexity are defined as multi-story floors, multiple buildings, executive offices, etc. as applicable.
Supervisors shall have experience performing cleaning and sanitation in a commercial environment.
Organize cleaning crews, to include, but not limited to, scheduling and managing work shifts
Experience applying safety standards and policies to subordinate personnel
Must possess organizational and effective communication skills.
Experience in scheduling and supervising grounds maintenance duties and responsibilities
Experience in general grounds maintenance practices
Experience in training employees
Experience in proper custodial procedures for the use of manually operated tools, electrically-powered machines, cleaning compounds, solvents and chemicals
Experience with general administrative duties including, but not limited to creating reports and Action Plans.
Experience applying a Quality Control Program (including, but not limited to, inspecting, scheduling, verifying all contract requirements are completed, correcting QA inspection findings, responding to tenant complaints, improving processes to correct repeated findings, etc).
Possess a current Advanced Custodial Technician Certification (CMI et al) or equivalent.
Shall be fully conversant in English.
Pay Rate: $23.87 p/hour H&W Fringe: $8.10 p/hour Pension: $5.25 p/hour A Background Check and Drug Screening will be performed for this position.
