The custodian I will be responsible for the custodial cleaning activities in bioMerieux SLC administrative areas.

Primary Duties:

Cleaning: 

• Proper removal of trash and other waste streams ensuring all waste is properly disposed.
• Cleaning floors, walls, touch surfaces, glass, hallways, restrooms, break rooms, equipment, outdoor/indoor common areas, cafeterias etc
• Other duties as assigned.

Administrative duties: 

• Report any facility or safety concerns to Supervisor.

Supplemental Data:

• Must have reliable transportation

Training and Education:

• High School Diploma or GED and custodial experience is preferred as well as clean room experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• High attention to detail and follow through.
• Receive and follow verbal/written instructions and communicate effectively.
• Demonstrate effective team work with all staff.
• Ability to follow job assignments completely and efficiently.
• Ability to operate custodial equipment such as vacuum cleaners and buffers.
• Basic Computer email and data entry skills.
• Knowledge of SDS (Safety Data Sheets), cleaning products and their methods of use.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse people, ability, culture, ethnic background, to maintain good working relationships throughout the company.
• Working and Physical requirements:
• Ability to remain in stationary position, often standing, for prolonged periods.
• Ability to ascend/descend stairs, ladders, ramps, and the like.
• Ability to wear PPE correctly most of the day.
• Must be able to pick up and carry up to 40 lbs.
• The position may require standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
