We are seeking a dynamic Customer Experience Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Experience Center located in the iconic New York Design Center.
The Customer Experience Manager will be responsible for promoting our solutions and enhancing the client experience.
The Customer Experience Manager will be a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills and the ability to inspire their team. This role requires a strong understanding of technology, exceptional presentation skills, and the ability to create an engaging and informative environment for customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Engage and guide Customers through the Crestron New York City Experience Center (CEC). The CEC is designed to be a transformative space, prioritizing the customer experience above all else
- Provide detailed information and storytelling about Crestron, the company, and the solutions we offer.
- Ability to provide in-person one-on-one presentations and presentations to groups of 50+ people.
- Facilitate high-level Briefings, documenting objectives, agenda, presenters, and action items throughout the session.
- Perform technical demonstrations on site and to a remote audience via video in a professional manner, encouraging customer interaction while ensuring the timeline is respected.
- Interface with Crestron’s Sales organization to craft and execute customized agendas for each of our visitors to the Crestron Experience Center, ensuring objectives and messaging align with the customer’s goals.
- Creatively develop new ways of demonstrating specific solutions in specific contexts, whether vertically based or scenario based.
- Interact with external and internal customers (Sales and Technical Directors) with openness and flexibility while ensuring the experience processes are respected and the appropriate equipment and resources are provided for a successful demonstration.
- Incorporate both active listening and flexibility to ensure a personalized and targeted experience for our internal and external customers alike.
- Use the provided tools and applications to maintain accurate documentation and tracking. Work with the sales team to have engaging conversations with guests.
- The Customer Experience Specialist’s goals are to:
- Drive Business Growth: Each visit to the CEC is an opportunity to assist the sales team in closing existing sales opportunities, opening new ones, forging strategic partnerships, and elevating the Crestron brand across all audiences.
- Engage and Educate: We create dedicated spaces and environments that go beyond traditional “black box” demonstrations. Our immersive, hands-on approach directly engages customers, educating them about Crestron solutions and transforming their thinking about what’s possible.
- Build Trust and Confidence: We aim to leave every client “wowed” and confident that Crestron is the partner they can trust to meet their technology needs, both now and in the future.
- Provide Tailored Demonstrations: The CEC highlights key Crestron solutions across various space and application setups, demonstrating core functionality and capabilities. We tailor each visit to meet the specific needs of our clients, highlighting solutions like digital signage, scheduling, meetings, messaging, and more.
- Focus on the customer experience and deliver tailored, engaging demonstrations. Leveraging the CEC as a powerful tool for driving business growth and strengthening the Crestron brand.
- Be able to answer design questions for overall systems.
- Be knowledgeable in audio, video, USB, networking, lighting, and control technology.

EXPERIENCE
- BSc/BA in business administration, sales or relevant field
- Proven experience as a Showroom Manager or similar role
- 5 years in AV design/integration or related industry a plus
- Works under minimal supervision with wide latitude for independent judgment
- Knowledge of Salesforce helpful
- Knowledge of Crestron solutions helpful
- Knowledge of Networking systems(Netgear, Cisco, or Extreme) helpful
- Be able to troubleshoot systems in the Center to ensure presentations go well

- Technically savvy – with a general understanding of Video and audio communications & Collaboration tools (e.g. like Zoom, Teams, Webex, et al).
- Experienced with Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent verbal and writing skills.

- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to present technical information in an interesting and compelling manner.
- Ability to quickly assimilate technical information.
- Have a passion for helping others learn and a commitment to serving as a strong product advocate.

- Must be able to lift and maneuver 15 – 25 pounds
